07.07.08 Live pictures!

We have finally uploaded a selection of live pictures from our first two gigs. The pictures were taken by Laura Reunanen and Bart Dykstra. For this week we are rehearsing for Voimasointu II, but after this coming weekend, it's back to the recordings for us. 06.06.08 Studio sessions

The drum and bass tracks for the next Rainroom album are ready, and Jp is currently in the studio for the first batch of rhythm guitars. Read about the recordings here. We have also been annoying each other with an old camcorder, and when we have the time to look into it, we'll upload the material (almost 6 hrs. at the moment) to our Machine, and put together a nice documentary of the record making process for you. Some thoughts on Jp's behalf in the studio diary soon.

14.05.08 Studio

Rainroom will be entering the Sound Ateljee studio on 2nd of July to record the drum and bass tracks for the upcoming piece - after which Jere, Jp and Oskari will start their excruciatingly exact analysis on the amounts of gain on distortion, the amounts of repeats on delay, the exactly-but-not-quite-there also known as "putting guitars on tape". Our dead-area is the rough thereabouts of early autumn.
To put on a more serious face for a while - we are very excited with the booked studio, we really look forward to working with Mr. Roiha, and we are most anxious to get to finally set a final form for ideas that have been in existence, once again, for over a year now. The first performance of some of the new material will be offered to those interested this Wednesday, the 14th, at Rock Town, Helsinki.
Until June, then - the next update will hopefully be the first part of the studio diary.
